Why Are Men So Easily Addicted to Porn?

I’ve broken up with women who wouldn’t perform certain things.

A man who would break up with a woman over sex acts was never really with that woman in the first place, so no great loss to her.

But, what about all these men? Looking for porn stars and not relationships, not close to anyone in any meaningful or real way. There will be a lot of lonely men, addicted to porn online and living alone.

I think it’s sad. I also wonder why do men get addicted to porn so easily? Why don’t they see the addiction coming, why don’t they understand the difference between the performance of pornography and the reality?

Women don’t seem to get addicted to porn.

Most women are looking for more than sex acts when they want to meet men. We don’t tend to have a laundry list of kinky sex acts and fetishes which we bring out when we go on a date or meet someone new online. Women are interested in kinky sex, fetishes and having good sex but we want reality. We think of it in terms of something real.

How is pornography such a different experience for men? Why do they settle for so much less emotionally and intellectually but expect so much more physically?

There is a lovely book called Men Are From Mars And Women Are From Venus. I think many of the answers to the differences question can be found in its pages.

    As for the porn? Erm…

    - It reminds the lonely that there is still beauty in the world.

    - It can be even lonelier if you never actually see for real what’s in your head, as a fantasy.

    - If your thing is BBWs, it can be great to realise that there exists some who do not need the light off for sex.

Addiction is such a strong word. I think it can show a desperation to confirm that we are not alone. And even some of the opposite sex can share what we like.

Do women have fantasies? Of course they do. When a guy shares a fantasy, isn’t it your cue to tell him yours? As a guy, it annoys me when asked to tell me her fantasies, she replies that she doesn’t have any. Hot-pants of a very different kind going on there!

    Viva le difference!
